Katie! Wow! Thank you for sharing your adventures and story so far. I am so excited for you. You have a lot to offer those kids, and I know that you will be learning a lot too. That's what makes the best teachers... those that always remember there is so much more to know (and have fun doing it). I love you my sister. You are amazing! XOXO

p.s. I am so jealous of the peanut butter and tomato sauce; two specific items that are VERY hard to come by in Japan. "Peanut spread", a fluffy, plasticy version, just isn't the same. We have yet to find tomato sauce.

Katie! Love the blog. It's so great to be able to see and read what you've been up to. Looks like you're in a great spot. You ate whale! I think I would do it in that setting. In Japan, the whaling is only supposed to be for scientific purposes, but there was definitally whale at a sushi restaurant I went to last week. I couldn't do it. I did eat horse, though. (Tasted good, but my head was having some trouble with the idea.) When will you start teaching? My first lesson is this coming Monday with a few different junior high classes. Good luck and keep having fun! Love ya, J.

Katie, sounds like you are ready for a great adventure. Didn't your parents teach you that bright young ladies shouldn't go into education? I enjoyed your photos, unless I am going more feeble than usual, I saw Mr. Eide working on the fish. You should have a great year!

GREAT POST!!!

Loved the pictures and the stories. Keep up the great work. I hope your classroom starts to come together. Just think... You should have it down by the time you get to do it again in couple months when you move into the new school. :)
